Hi I live in Pennsylvania. I have lived at my house for 5 years. We do not have a lease. Nothing in writing. Just recently the people that actually own the house, the one lady died she gave her half of the house to another relative. They are all related, anyway the new owner and the old owner (sisters) do not get along big hassle there, being the old owner had a deed with Joint tenants with rights of survivorship and somehow the new owner weasled in. (they are fighting about that and the 2 different wills that they each have) Ok back to my question, do I have any rights being I do not have anything on paper in writing about living in this house?? No checks no anything? Right now they are trying to get an assessor to come through my house, Old owner says do NOT let them in. Do I? Also the new owner wants her money she just inherited so she wants old owner to buy her half, old owner will not give new owner a dime, So new owner says they will force sale, If this happens how much notice must they give us to pack and move? Please help I have daughter and pets, it could take a while to find another place that allows pets. Any advice or help you could offer I would appreciate, Should I get a lawyer? Thanks Roxanne
