What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? - Washington State
First off i would like to say im sorry but i don't know where else to put this. and i thought this would be the most appropriette because im a Minor. So Last week i sold a PS3 To somebody on Craigslist, he was hesetent on purchasing it at first but the deal went through for 150$. He Made me Sign a random piece of Scratch paper stating if anything was wrong with the PS3 i would give him a refund. But it was raining pretty hard outside and he brought the PS3 in and out of the Mcdonalds we Met up at because he had many questions and concerncs and he slammed the PS3 on the table when we Met. When you arrived home he sent me an email stating the PS3 didn't read discs and that it was only a 40GB when i had stated that it was a 60GB. Now before i sold him the PS3 my sister had player guitar hero III on it fine and i had friends over a few days earliar and player Madden NFL 11. So i know it was working. Now if the PS3 was really a 40GB and not a 60GB than that is my fault and i told him that. But Now he wants a refund because he said i scammed him and sent me a broken PS3. Currently he is threatening to Sue me and go to the police for "Scamming" And he doesn't care how much it costs because his cousin is a lawyer. Should i give him a refund and take back a broken PS3? I have witnesses to prove the PS3 worked beforehand. How do i know he didn't break the ps3 when He was moving it in and out of the mcdonalds or it got broken during the transportation from the Mcdonalds to his house. What will the Police Do, Does he have the Right to Sue me? What should i do?
