I KNOW THAT MANY OF U DONT LIVE HERE BUT I REALLY DO NEED HELP,
MY HUSBAND HAS A 14 YO BOY WHO HE HAS SEEN THREE WEEKENDS IN 14 YEARS, HIS MOTHER DRIVES US CRAZY, SHE PUTS HIM IN HOME FOR HER CONVIENTS, SHE TOLD US SHE WAS DYING AND WANTED HIM TO VISIT HIS DAD SO THAT HE CAN GET TO KNOW HIM BETTER WHEN WE TAKE COUSTODY, THE DYING THING IS A LIE SHE IS STILL HERE, HE PAYS HIS CHILD SUPPORT 1060.00 AMONTH AND HE PAYS MORE THEN HIS CHECK, WE HAVE TWO OTHER KIDS AT HOME, BUT HE PAYS IT.
SHE SETS THESE VISITS AND THEN WE DONT HEAR FROM HER FOR 8 MONTHS UNLESS SHE NEEDS SOMETHING BUT SHE GETS A GOOD CHECK NOW SHE DOESNT NEED ANYTHING ELSE WE CANT AFFORD A LAWYER SO I AM HOPEING THAT SOMEONE CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVISE ON WHAT WE SHOULD DO IN THIS CASE I COULD MAKE A BOOK BUT I DONT WANT TO BORE U I JUST FEEL SOORY FOR MY HUSBAND BECAUSE HE DOES NOT KNOW HIM AND HE TRIES BUT THE MOTHER SAYS ONE THING AND DOES THE OTHER.

2nd Is there a visitation order in place?

sorry i did not mean to sound so rude
no there is nothing we cant get child support to help us either
we are just lost in this case if child support was not taking so much for one child we probly could because until now she has moved 30 times in 1 year the only reason she is stable is because of the child support check and thats ok at least we know where he is.
but she will call and say he wants to come out and when we call to go pick him up she has some excuse

we tried but u see he cannot stand the mother i do all the dealings with her on the phone, he has not seen her in over 14 years and she wents to the courts and filed stalking charges on him. u have to understand this is a really sad case for my husband and we dont know where to begin

Until he has a court order granting him visitation rights the mother is under no obligation whatsoever to let him see the child.

Well, he needs to decide whether it's more important to him to have no contact with Mom or to see his son. There's no visitation order, and therefore she has no obligation to send the kid. She also has no obligation to talk to you at all. Dad can file w/o a lawyer, but he needs to get his butt in gear.

ok its not as easy as u think we have petetioned the court and when we did that she filed assult charges on my husband she really is a raw woman and yes she is obligated to talk to me because with out me in the middle she has nothing he will not talk to her at all, he does not want me to talk to her but i try to keep the kid involved we have been fighting her for 13 years i was not the debate of there seperation but she does everything she can to hurt him because he does not want to be with her, the only person she is hurting is the son cause i really dont care but i do a care about the boy and its wrong.
as soon as we can prove that he did not assult her then we can petition the courts again.
i really do appreciate ur guys and gals advise, we are just lost for answers with this woman, and no my husband did not hit her when she comes over he hides cause she is so evil, we are just hoping to build some kind of case to prove that this women who has never been stable and is crazy cannot take care of her son, he has two sisters here that want to know him and she takes that from him as well

her filing assault charges does not negate his ability to file for visitation with his child

Sweetpea, you're just not getting it. Right now, she's in the position of power. There is no visitation order, so she doesn't have to allow him any time. If your husband is such a gormless worm that he won't get off his butt to file for visitation, then he's got the relationship with his son that he deserves. Period.
