What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? alabama, my daughter wrote checks at the age of 17 is it possible for the city to wait until her 18th birthday and then arrest her for the checks?

Age of Majority in Alabama is 19, not 18.

If she wrote checks fraudulently and broke the law, there's no reason why they can't arrest her today.
