Hi
I was in a car acc. last year and was in between to booster seats, injured my lower left hip. Have been to doctors, chryo, and Physo, all have not help. I am still taking pain killers and have troubles doing daily chores around my house. I am self employed so i have not lost any work days i would just take my work with me to all my app. The other party involved would like to settle next week and i would like to know what is a reasonalbe amount to agree on. I am still in pain and taking pills also going to try Massage Therp. I have lost some moneys out of my pocket but my husbands benifits have covered most of the cost. I have seen a lawyer but he said to try and settle with out a lawyer because of the costs, but he did not say what a good amount would be, I need help with this because i can not stand, walk or lift so for me to go and get a different job would be hard. I run a Day home in my home and only take school age kids because i can not lift the little guys. I live in canada. and I am at a lose on what to do so if someone could help me that would be great.
Thanks
Cathy

My response:

The attorney that you saw couldn't have possibly been a "personal injury attorney" to have said that to you!

I would suggest that you go to a personal injury attorney, and preferably one that's "hungry". Do it today.

There are too many factors to discuss on a Bulletin Board to make a determination of what is fair. That can be done with in-person, and phone calls, with your own attorney. Do not do this on your own.
