Issue occured in Las Vegas Nevada

On a recent trip to Las Vegas I accidentally caused a flood in my hotel room. I paid the damages and am pursuing an insurance claim. The insurance company requires that I provide proof of the monies paid. Unfortunately the hotel has only provided me a breakdown of the charges, not invoices from contractors.
1) How can I compel the hotel to supply the required documentation?
2) I suspect, in hind sight that the room damages numbers were inflated and what the hotel says occurred did in fact NOT occur (they said they replaced carpet in the amount of 4000 dollars). What recourse will I have against the hotel to reclaim the money I paid?

Ideally I just want the required proof for the insurance claim, as I am fully covered so option one would be the best but the hotel is hardly being accommodating. It is a large hotel/resort chain.

Any and all ADVICE would be appreciated.

You're looking for reimbursement for damages that you've caused? Is that why you're looking for proof? Contact a local attorney, pay a small fee, and have them draft a letter to the hotel for the receipt.

Just curious about why I would get a lawyer to draft the letter. Is it just to prove I am serious, or does the lawyer know how to word the letter in a way that the hotel doesn't really have a choice?
