HELP? reposesed car from a friend under my name

I signed for a friend to buy a 25,000.00 car.
He was very irresponsable. Instead of woking as said, he was just racing and sleeping all day. He told me he was working but not. The car was reposesed and was under my name. Inever drived the car becasue was his car. My credit is destroyed and the car company will come after me when the auction for the car is done. What can I do?

I guess youll never do this again......

You will have to sue your friend and get a judgement and a couple of years down the road when he gets a REAL JOB, you can have his paycheck attached,
