I posted a note May 15 but have not received a response. Does anyone know if you can petition the courts for additional moving time before being served an eviction notice? I have been told yes and no. Would it look better to the courts if we did? we have a home day care so need more time than 30 days. Thanks.

?? Is it just that the landlord has given you notice to terminate a month-to-month lease? If so, you have to negotiate with landlord for extra time. If you hold over, you'll be liable for holdover fees + actual damages or the entire month's rent, whichever is greater. More facts please. :)
