 What is the name of your state? CA
I am in escrow with the purchase of a new home to close next week. The property will be transfered into my living trust. I wanted to take title in the name of the trust for privacy and am now being told that the title ins. co will only complete the transaction with my name as trustee for the trust. This was the first I've heard that there was an issue. The lender had no problem funding into the trust name. Today, at the last minute, I was asked if I wanted to do a quitclaim or possibly establish another trustee. Does anyone really understand what they are doing? From what I've been told NEITHER is appropriate. HELP.
Only wanted to have some privacy not insanity. Seriously, need immediate feedback. Thank you!

You need to be consulting a local attorney about this (if you can afford one), preferably a real estate attorney, and you have had plenty of time to do that since this is the second time you have posted such a question. You are being jerked around, especially in the matter of the trustee's name--anyone can be a trustee, and it doesn't have to be you!!--and they wouldn't be able to do that if you had an attorney.
