We live in Ga, My 22 year old son was walking home from a party 2 nights ago he was intoxicated a someone in the neighborhood was having a party and he decided to check it out. He was asked to leave and didn't at first so basically I guess he was trespassing I don't have a problem with that he knows he did wrong he got mouthy with the people and they argued. They threw him in the pool when he got out he swung at the peoples son and one of their neighbors threw him to the ground to calm him down I also understand that. What I am really infuriated about ( besides my son even doing anything like this ) is the fact that after he got up he left the property and got 1 house away when 4 or 5 of the men attacked him and beat him in the street. He has bruises and scrapes but they repeatedly punched and kicked him till his nose isn't broken but swelled to twice it's normal size, his lip is busted and was bleeding in 2 places and swollen,hi left cheek is badly swollen and bruised and he has a 1 1/2 inch deep gash on his face that took about 5 stitches and 2 teeth that have been jammed up in his gum. They then ran off and left him laying there. Does he have a case against the owner of the house that was giving the party because he doesn't know who the guys were that did this to him. I understand what he did was wrong but come on they could have seriously hurt him or even killed him:mad:What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Your son doesn't know who did this.

He can't sue random people in the neighborhood because strangers jumped out of the night and beat him up.

For what it is worth, the moment he swung at someone in the party, he upped that trespassing charge to assault.

Tell you drunken son to not go on others property uninvited again. HE should consider this a life lesson...;)

You need to let your ADULT son deal with his own LIFE LESSONS.

Sonny needs to stop walking around town completely inebriated. If he cannot identify the jerks who beat him up, then he'll just have to live with the consequences of his actions.

Blue, honey are you coming for drinks???

Why don't you have a problem with that?

And if he'd been seriously injured or even killed he would have been at least partly - of not MOSTLY - responsible for that.

He has no case against the homeowners.

Get your son into rehab, teach him that when you're a mouthy trespassing jerk there are often consequences you might not like.

He MAY however have a case against the individuals who injured him should he be able to identify and find them.

(And no - the homeowner is NOT going to be ordered to identify the individuals...)
