I have been separated from my husband and trying to get a divorce. I have started dating, and want to know can he do anything about it. He as been violent in the past, and threaten to be again if I date. I am also worried he may try to take the children from me because he is angry I am dating.

My question is... can he take the kids from me because I have decided to start seeing other men? I am an excellent mother and care very deeply for my children. My dating (the little that it is) is not done around them.

What are the limits of control can an ex-spose have? Can he use the fact that I am dating as a bad point against me as a mother? I only worry because I know how he is, and he will go crazy once he learns I am seeing other people. Of course he already has. I just dont want to live my life in fear of what he can do.

Please help, I live in Miami Fla.

You need to one:

1) File divorce papers (see atty if you need help)

2) Get some sort of Custody papers filed

3) Get a restraining order on this guy (with exception to follow Custody papers - days he may see them.

4) I highly recommend you see a lawyer. he/she would be able to help you on all of these issues. Most have an hr free consult and you may be able to work out a payment plan w/ atty.

Good Luck in moving on...seems that you want to so go for it!
