Help! When do I surrender my car?

What is the name of your state? Oregon
I am about to file for bankruptcy and want to know when do I have to surrender my car? When I file? When its final? When?

Are you behind on the payments ???
Are they threatening a repo ??
How soon before you ACTUALLY file for BK ??

If they don't repo the car before you file, then they can do nothing to take it unless they file for relief from the automatic stay. Apparently you don't plan on keeping it, so you could GIVE it back to them at any time after they know your intention is to NOT keep it. Its also likely they may do nothing about it until after your discharge.
