What is the name of your state?
I live in Calif
Grandad just died...left everything to Grandma, age 89
Grandma has daughter, son, and in place of a daughter who died, two grandsons splitting the estate when Grandma dies.
Both daughter and son, are telling Grandma what to do...sell the house, move to Utah, etc etc
Grandma has never had to manage anything..Grandad did it all.
Seems like who ever gains control of Grandma can either have all signed over to them or will, with almost no effort, control all of Grandma's money.
Grandma is slightly forgetful as well.
Call APS???
How do we (the grandsons) protect Grandma from the the son and daughter??

The estate is valued in approx a million and a half dollars.

Yes, call APS and file for conservator over granny. Is grandpa's estate being probated? If so, then monitor the probate by checking the file/hiring your own attorney (who can also help you with the conservatorship).
