What is the name of your state? Nevada

Hello,

I'm unsure as to whether or not I've got the correct thread for such a question. If it's in the wrong spot just let me know and I'll post it somewhere else.

Anyway, my question is rather complex. I currently live in Nevada but I'm originally from Texas. A while back I misplaced my TXID and my SS card. I can not get a new id without a social security card. Thanks to the tightened security parameters after 9/11, you can not get a social security card with a valid state issued ID. The only thing I was able to get was my birth certificate without a hassle. I thought my mother would be able to get my social like she has previously when faced with this scenario, but they informed her that since I was over 18 or so I had to come in myself with valid id, yada yada yada. I Can't order a new copy of my TXID due to not having the audit number from the front (not the ID number, which I took the time to memorize, but a small string on numbers by the picture).

I've also been out of work for a long time and have been living with family doing odd jobs. I have no documented work history for almost 2 1/2 years so I can't even get a former employee to mail anything with my social security number on it like tax statements.

I'm completely at a loss. I'm stuck in this strange Catch 22 and really can't see a means or way out. Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated, as I've been working on this for over a year but to no avail.

If you have any questions please post them on here.

Thanks.
