Hello-

(Detroit, MI) I recieved a ticket I was un aware of for parking in Bus area (just found an empty envelope on my windshield) i called them and they said that there wasnt one on file. then i reiceved another one right as i was walking out to my car. the cop said i couldnt park from the one pole to the other. when i went to the violations buerau they told me i had 2 in the same area. should i request a hearing or just pay them off? will my insurance know that i got these if i do request a hearing  ? am i required to know that i should park at least 30 feet away from a bus sign?

Unless you have a valid defense, pay them.

Parking tickets are non moving violations and do not count against your driving record or insurance.

Ever hear the phrase "Ignorance is no excuse"? Tickets are one way for the cities, counties, and states to remind us of the laws or tell us if we don't know.
