Help with to dissolving Corp or keeping it

have made a few errors starting a business on my own. I filed to start a business in October and I set up my business as a for profit Corporation. This was a mistake as my intention was to start just a sole proprietorship.

The business is only me (no employees) and no business was conducted as the corp.
The bank account and everything else is under a sole proprietorship, which is how I plan to go forward.

Do I need to cancel the corp?

Probably yes, otherwise you may have to pay annual fees and submit annual reports.

Once you have dissolved the corporation, make sure you properly register your DBA with the state.

Yes, if you are not going to use the corporation then you need to dissolve it. Otherwise, you get stuck having to file tax returns, annual reports, and pay fees to keep it active.
