What is the sol on phone bills. I am having a phone bill to pop up on me from late 99 to early 2000. The collection agency got it in March 2001 and I just got a letter about it today. I lived in Colorado at the time. They are now threaten to sue me since I wouldnt agree to doing a check over the phone. If I do owe this, I will pay but not check by phone like they want.

The SOL on that debt is 6 years. They still have plenty of time to come after you.

Ok, Thank you!! I pissed of the rep. when I was talking with when I refused to do a check over the phone, and that was when they said they would take stronger collection action. But I do have a letter from them saying they would take 80% of the debt as payment in full, and the offer expires in March. I guess I will mail them the payment, and be done with it. I called the phone company and spent 2 1/2 hours with them trying to figure out this bill, but it was hard for them to go back that far. Thank you again for you input!
