To have it non-renewed, there are all sorts of issues that can cause this. Conditions of the home and claims history are just a couple. Why not tell us your situation so we can help.

fire claim

:mad:13 months ago my house was in fire. After investigation insurance paid the claim to my mortgage lender. We rebuilt the house at 95%, and were getting small portions released from the bank. Every inspection requests were taking weeks to order and complete. Now bank won't release the last portion to complete and move in. I gave up today, don't know what to do. Bank wants a completion of 100% to release those funds. I cannot complete 100% without funds. Please help. I pay my mortgage on time, but cannot live in the house for 13 months. Too ridiculous!!!

Pay the last portion and allow the mortgage company to reimburse you instead of paying the contractor.

Your question was about the insurance being non renewed. If the house is vacant, you can't insure it as a primary residence. If you live there, the home must pass all underwriting requirements for the homeowners insurance. If it does not then thew will non renew the insurance.
