What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado

Met this girl online I mistakingly gave her my number! She won't stop calling me and messaging me! I feel like she baits me into talking dirty to her and keeps insisting I come to where she is. I'm 19 m she is 17f! Is there anything unlawful I have done?

Stupidity is not illegal.

If you are not mature enough to control your speech when communicating with this girl, then you should not communicate with the girl. If you are not mature enough to control your speech when communicating with this girl, then you are probably not mature enough to control your actions if you meet with her.

Zigner's advice is smart. Try to find a girl with whom you will not mistakenly do something illegal.

I think Quincy is saying that stupid child is not doing anything illegal.

OP isn't being harassed by this girl. OP is scared because he just found out the chick he's been phone-sexing (etc.) with is underaged.

Yeah. You just ACCIDENTALLY slipped her your number.:rolleyes::rolleyes: And it's all HER fault that you are hot chatting her up over the phone. No one is buying what you're selling. I wholeheartedly agree with Zig when he says:

Don't want to play anymore? You have several options, which include (but are not limited to) the following:

1) Don't answer/block her calls and text messages.
2) Change your number
3) Stop thinking with your little head and start listening to the big one on top of your shoulders.
4) Find a girlfriend your own age.

She is a minor, she is not underage for those other activities. Age of consent in CO is 17. In the real world, 19 year olds and 17 year olds date. In many cases it could be the difference between a college freshman and a high school senior or even a senior and a junior in high school. OP is obviously scared, but moreso I think of trying to figure out a way to get rid of the girl.

I must be old; I think 19 and 17 years are pretty much similar ages.

To the OP: Just block her messages. Geez.

Oh, and stay off my lawn.

Congratulations!

You just made the kid's case for her!

And seriously OP? You have so little self-control that you just can't help yourself? Ignoring the texts and calls is too difficult for you?

Not when it deals with texting. 17=child. 19=Adult. ;)

And that can make quite the difference. If a minor - and 17 is STILL a minor since adulthood is not defined by the age of consent - and someone older are sexting each other, the State could actually make a case.

Personally, I do think that 17 and 19 are nowhere near a 17 year old and a 13 year old. But some states may wish to make an example of the older party by decrying it as producing child porn (again, even if the age of consent is 16 this does not make it okay to essentially produce pornographic material).

Whether they'll get a conviction is anybody's guess.

He shouldn't HAVE to. If he tells her to stop and she doesn't, she's committing a crime. Period. Bear in mind, that the OP is only 19, and doesn't view the world like we do and even if he did, he's not in the wrong here. He's just not dealing with the situation ideally.
