My lawyer sent a letter of agreement to my wife's attorney, stating we would pay 2,000 dollars and let the divorce decree say abuse, after which he gave me more info on the abuse part and I told him I would never admit to something I did not do.
Now he is sending another letter saying we will not agree!
Can her lawyer use this against me to get an abuse judgment somehow, without any proof now, they have never alleged abuse, she is using it to try to stay in the country.

He made the mistake, but I know he is my representative, can I be held to such a thing???

This is in New Hampshire

As far as the divorce is concerned, no. But the INS may scan the document, read the word 'abuse' and allow her to continue with her green card petition on her own.
