My probation officer recieved a letter from my judge for a charge that has been pending for almost 9 months (misdemeanor A in the state of New York). In the middle of this past december he (the judge) entered a guilty plea and sent a conviction paper to my probation officer that told him to do a pre-sentencing investigation. I am very worried, becuase my private attorney wasn't aware of this. I never went to court on the date that it said I was convicted. My lawyer says not to worry, but I worry about the fact that I may not be allowed to refuse to accept the plea bargain that WAS offered. I don't know what's going on now...please offer some help.... I am so busy at college......3.75 GPA..
