:) What is the name of your state? California
I am trying to help a friend find out an answer before going back to court on May 23rd. The judge already told him that the house, division of properties, alimony, child support has to be decided in AR where the wife lives. He lives in ID, has for two years. He filed for divorce, she was served, responded, but her papers were sent back...not acceptable. The judge told his lawyer, that in two weeks he would grant the divorce if he is able according to ID law. Does anyone know, according to ID law, can the judge grant him a divorce on May 23rd, or does he have to wait and get it in AR ? I would appreciate any help, so I can pass it on to him...Thank you...:)What is the name of your state?

The judge told his lawyer, etc.

Ask the lawyer.

Pay attention, it asked me where I was from, I answered...second, his lawyer is suppose to find out...but I was hoping someone knew the answer more quickly, that's all. I tried using this forum back in January...I was hoping this time, I might get some help, thanks anyway.

1.) When a new poster says, "Pay attention," I tend to think they are a bit too smartypants to need or heed advice.

2.) Conventional wisdom says the best advice is given to the most informative posters. These posters would surely include those who are a party to the court action, not third parties in other states, and who have their specifics right in front of them to answer pertinent questions.

You are really sad...but that's okay, LOL...you only replied apparently because you don't have a life, clue, or any advice that's helpful...I asked a question, I replied to the question of "what state I was from", and as far as my nic name, it's just that, a nic name, like yours is any better or worse...LOL My advice to people like you, unless you can offer any constructive help, DON'T...you also don't read very well...I am a friend, just trying to help get some answers before his court date, is there's something wrong with that ? I have read many posts, some are very intelligent, some in "my opinion" aren't. I would never give advice or ask questions that would insult someone...maybe you should try getting help with your 'people skills'...good luck !

I need some advice...

If you were married in NV 1983-84, moved to AR, seperated April 2004, spouse (wife) still resides in AR, I live in ID (husband) been here since leaving AR, can I get a divorce where I now reside, or do I need to go back to AR? I also want to get a on line divorce, is this possible from where I am living now?

I guess we can add *Liar* to the list, a dumb one at that!

Same friend in 01/13/06

Yes Stealth2, I am the same friend. The one person LdiJ gave advice that he took. He got a lawyer...the only thing was that the judge postponed the decision on the divorce for two weeks while his lawyer was suppose to find out some answers about bifucate. He hasn't as of today, but I did...so I gave my friend my findings, and he is happy. I have no problems with answering intelligent questions, which you did. I went back to the link, and read what I had asked, and my answers. I am sure you also read what I had said and clarified, but others did not. No worries...he is getting a divorce next week, and the other issues will be decided in AR, which he has also obtained a lawyer there. One thing I would like to add...Sometimes the person involved has a hard time writing, talking on the phone, and asking the right questions in person etc. That is where a patinet advocate comes in, and that is what I am to my friend. He is moving to Cali, because he needs help in areas of physical and mental help...and as a friend, I am qualified because of my profession. If I was not, I would still be there for moral support, but I would find him help if I couldn't assist. Someone told me about this site, and I thought it would be wonderful, but as my posts say, mostly it was not. I hope you continue to be a professional that truly gives advice that is helpful. Thank you....:)

eme76... No this is not me...LOL I looked at her site...I am glad it is not me or my daughter. I wonder if her Mum knows about it...doubt it. No problem in asking, but again, that Cherrie, is not this 'Cherrie'...:)

You need to go back to school Shay-Pari'e...LOL I posted in Jan 06, not 04...but I already found out you don't know what you and your lover are talking about...

Let's try this again, and I will go really slow for you.https://forum.freeadvice.com/showthread.php?t=183195

and I never expect help from youngersters like you two. People that want to help, will...others like you two, can't, because you don't have a clue. If you two need help in writing a resume, go to your local library, they can advise.

LMAO! I don't need a resume, I make a great living.

2.) Did you know that the ellipse is used for indicating missing words in a sentence? Which words are you removing from your own sentences?
Actually, no. An ellipse is an oval. The three dots is known as an ellipsis.
