Father re-appearing after a year

What is the name of your state?Ohio
It has been almost a year since my ex took me to court for a visitation modification. He was granted supervised visitation through an establishment provided by the county. I registered and kept in touch on a weekly basis with them. Then after a few months, it became a monthly contact, which they had informed me he had taken no steps to make contact with his child and the center finally withdrew us from the program. I'd also like to add no support had been paid which was also ordered by the judge during this year. Now, I have recieved three weeks of support from him, and recieved an email stating he is doing better and getting an attorney to overturn the supervised visitation into shared parenting. Is this even an issue? I would love our son to become aquainted with his father, (age 3 now) but his lifestyle and mental ilness is what is troubling to me. I had GAL representation for the first round, and they understood my pleas. Will money be the issue when it all comes to a head again? I am a single mother of three, working and supporting my children. My income isn't the greatest, but I have been getting as much overtime as they will offer. How do I get permission for drug screening and a possible psych analysis? I would be more than willing to do the same, I just want to know my son would be in a safe environment, which was provided at the visitation center. Just kinda getting worried now, his family has me outnumbered and more money to battle with. I just want a family for my children.

Thank you, I just hate having to worry.

I will just let it ride out, hopefully it's another threat, At least I can assign another GAL to represent us. After reading other posts, I feel like my problems are small.

No one's problem is "small"...because it matters to that person.

He hasn't followed through on anything that he was supposed to do, with the exception of beginning to pay child support.

Yes, if he takes you back to court its best to get the gal involved again (you want the same one, normally they stay with the case). Odds are that he won't be able to change anything until he has demonstrated a consistant pattern of visiting with the child on a supervised basis.
