I'm just curious...Today is Father's day...did you all have the kids call their Dad? (if they're not with them, that is...)

I know our phone hasn't rung yet...in fact, it hasn't rung on a birthday or Father's day for about 15 years...

Has Dad set an example?

If he makes a regular practice of calling the kids on their "special" days, then his ex should definitely promote the relationship by allowing them to call him. Tell him Happy Father's Day anyway!

Thanks Grandma B. I'll tell him. He's tried over the years to set a good example of keeping good contact, and we had "extended visitation" for a year and I made SURE they called and wrote their mother on her special days, but it didn't work.

At this point, I just make sure that our kids we have together make a big deal over him on Father's Day and birthdays. What more can I do??
