What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? My State is Virginia, I am a victim of some local good ole boy Christian Justice.I need some help from a very intelligent person who also is passionate about Truth and Justice.I have been battling for 8 years and all the evidence is there to prove I worked 26 yrs. and paid into the system until I got really sick. I have Kidney Cancer and several other issues. The Judge that heard my case was openly biased to me ,and made it clear about good Christians and his buddy of 20 yrs. was the Appeals Judge. I lost my case before it ever started. The Judge finnally awarded me partial disability but did not go back far enough for me to get my credit for the 26 b yrs. I worked. I lost $60,000 in back pay, and my monthly check is so low at $695 a month I can not live on that. If I was to get my credit I would get more than double that monthly amount. My story is long and complex. I need HELP! Thank you Lorette LeMondWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

this is actually great since the legal documents are online.

so is Michael F. Urbanski the one you have the issue with?

after doing a bit of reading, it's actually pretty clear WHY you were partially denied. you didn't meet all the specifications.

You have/had a time limit to appeal the decision .

If you are within that time period consult an SSI Attorney to review your case and possibly take on your case on a contingency bases .

Meaning if he/she wins appeals he takes a % of any retroactive benefits .If he loses he/she take nothing .

Get out your awards letter and read it to see your options and the time period .

Didn't you even file a reconsideration ?

If you have been battling for eight years like you say, that means that you have been denied by more than one decision-maker in the Social Security Administration, so it is probably not valid to point the finger at one or two employees. You also said your story is long and complex so it sounds like there have been multiple denials. An Administrative Law Judge is allowed to, actually is paid to "judge" your evidence and make a decision that is consistent with the law and regulation. The ALJ does not have to make a decision you agree with. What would be the point of a judge if there was no disagreement?

It is probably not helpful to use name-calling or disparaging terms in any subsequent appeals that you may make, if you are still within your appeal period. You did get a partially favorable decision. You also need to be aware that it is possible, perhaps remotely possible but still possible, that an appeal to a higher level does put the entire decision up for potential reopening, both the favorable and the unfavorable portions.

In your eight year battle, did you ever consult your own lawyer? That would be the person best equipped to have the specific knowledge about your case to assist you in a further appeal. Or did you do this all by yourself?
