On Saturday night, I might have made a dent or scratched a car with my side mirror but I did not realize this until Monday morning.

This morning, I looked my side mirror and I found out that the mirror was scratched. At that moment, I realized that sound that I heard on Saturday night when I passed by a parked car was from the accident.

I am not sure if police will accuse me for hit and run if I report this today. What should I do?

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Okay, weird. Basically, if no one saw you do it and the owner of the car can't peg you, then don't worry about it. I usually don't advocate this but put it this way:

if you know who you hit and can find the owner, then report it.
