Is there a law on how much amps of electircity a home is suppose to have? 60,100 or what ?I live in Illinois

I think you're on the wrong bulletin board. This is a legal site. You might want to conduct a search using your search engine in your browser for terms such as: House, electricity, amps, voltage, etc.

Also, if you contact your city's Department of Building and Safety, I know they'll be able to assist you.

You need to know which version of the Uniform Building Code your city/county has adopted. It will specify the electrical code requirements for your type of house. (It varies with use.) Electrical contractors will also probably know.

Are you upset because you have insufficient electricity? Did you have the home inspected? Our home inspector checked amperage and age of wiring. Maybe yours chould have caught it?
