What is the name of your state? NY
I just received a letter from my home owners insurance company that my policy will not be renewed due to my claim last year for $2200. My apartment had water damage from my next door neighbor's flood when his contractor broke a water pipe during his renovation. I'm afraid that I will not find any other insurer because I had another claim in 2003 at my previous apartment due to fire in my boiler room. My insurer at the time dropped my policy immediately after and it took a long time to find my currenrt insurer at twice as much cost. I've called a lot of insurance companies at the time and eveyone else said no. How should I go about finding a home insurer this time?

Why didn't your neighbor's insurance cover the damages to your apartment? We can't help you get new insurance.

Thanks for the helpful advice. It woulld've taken a long time to wait for the neighbor's insurance to cover it so I claimed it through my insurance. The agent told me that they would go after the neighbor's insurer to retrieve the cost. I'm trying to find out what my options are.
