I'm in ND. Can somebody explain the difference between Personal Liability and Medical Payments to Others on a homeowner's insurance policy? If Personal Liability covers an accident at your home, why do I even need Medical payments to others?

With the cost of medical procedures today my Medical Payments to others is only $1000.00 and I am wondering if we should increase it.

Thanks for any response.
