What is the name of your state? FL. I belong to an home owners association here in Florida. The President of the assoc. is acting as a one man show. He has spent $50,000. with out holding a single board meeting. Without recording any minutes of meetings, and without any vote of the board or assoc members. I want to make the board responsible for thier (lack of) actions. I also hand delivered to every house hold, in this assoc, a letter telling them of this. But at our annual meeting only a hand full of people showed up to say anything. If I sue can I recover my money from the assoc? Can I win against a board like this? Thanks for the help.

If I sue can I recover my legal fees from the assoc. My covenants and restrictions dont cover this. but they do say that if any one violates or attemps to violate the covenants, that it is the home owners responsiblity to take action in court.
