Florida- There was a property on the lands available. It was a tax deed that was available because the person was behind 15 thousand dollars. A friend of mine, who lives in Wisconsin decided to buy the deed. She transfered money to the court house. This a month ago. She called today and they told her the deed went back in the previous owners name since she did not buy it at an auction but pay it directly. They say it is now up to her to get the previous owner to sign the property over to her. The problem is the never told her this before she paid for the tax deed and We have tried to contact the previous owner. We have managed to get in touch with the daughter, but something is wrong there. She won't let us speak with her mother and we are under suspicion that the lady is deceased. So what do we do? If the woman is deceased who owns the property, say there is no will. And does the state have the right to take her money and not give her the deed? Especially since it was wired from her bank account in wisconsin so there is no doubt it is hers.
