What is the name of your state? Minnesota

Say I am moving to a new house and of course need homeowners insurance. I am having a heck of a time getting a company to cover me because I am going to be operating a daycare in my home. I am also unable to have my car insurance and homeowners under one company because my driving record is not very good - so I need my car insurance where it is now.... Any ideas???

Multi Policy Discount

Just because you get a discount for combining your auto and home..doesn't mean that your overall savings is greater than by purchasing auto and home through 2 separate companies.

Leave your auto insurance where it is, if that's the best rate that you can get.

You say that you are moving to a "new" house. As opposed to an "previous" house? If so, the same company should be able to write the new house. Otherwise, you should be able to look in your local yellow pages (don't use the internet) for a company that specializes in high-risk insurance. Generally, insurance companies will cover up to 6 children for home day care. However, if you run more than one shift, don't think that 6 kids at one time is the same thing (6 on days, 3 on nights is still 9 kids, even though its not 9 at one time).
