I posted this question and it somehow got on the wrong forum.
I'd like to know who is responsible for damage resulting from the ice storm last week. My neighbors large oak tree fell causing 700.00 worth of damage to my fence.my ins.co. says she is responsible and her co. is saying in am.She said she spoke to a lawyer who told her she does not have to pay for the damages since the ice that caused the accident was an act of God. The tree was old and rotten and has had limbs fall twice this year causing damage. It seems to be very unsafe.
