I am wondering if there is anything I can do about my insurance policy? I nnever received my ins renewal on a second home policy. I t was due in 11/06 but I just got a letter from my lender on 8/17/07 telling me I did not have ins. Can I fight this if they try to force me to buy their ins for the months from 11/06 to 8/07? Thank you very much

Sure you can fight it. You can fight it by providing proof of insurance. You are responsible for contacting the insurance company to inquire about the renewal bill. Once they have mailed it, that is all the last requires. You, apparently, didn't receive the reminder notice that it was late, nor the notice that said that it was lapsed.
