I plan to move into my recently deceased fathers home in Florida. I am inhereting the house and it will be my permanent residence. I have two questions.
1) Is there any advantage to me in the fact that my father had a homestead exemption on the property?
2) How long must I live in the house before the property is safe from creditors under Florida law?
Thanks!
