What is the name of your state? Colorado, I am not sure if I am in the correct thread but I thought I would start here.

I entered a contest and I won a certificate for free lasik eye surgery. After months of trying to get an appointment, I finally went in for all the pre surgery appointments. The day before my surgery, I was called and told that the person that gave me the certificate did not fill out the proper paperwork and I have to postpone my surgery. They also said they would honor the certificate but that was 3 months ago and I have heard nothing. The person won't even call me back from the doctors office. Do I have a claim? Can I still demand the surgery? What can I do?

May be a blessing

I am looking for a malpractice attorney because my sight has been ruined by this kind of surgery. I cannot be corrected to better than 20/60 even with glasses or contacts. Have given up driving at night. Am really not legal to drive in the daytime, depending on how my eyes test on a certain day.

Please note that not everybody is a good candidate for this surgery. Do not risk messing yourself up for life by demanding something that will not help you.
I cannot fathom someone giving away a "lasik." This is truly frightening. What if someone "gave away" a weight reduction operation? If it was you and you weighed 130 and didn't need it, what sense would it make? Medical procedures should not be given away without some big malpractice insurance behind them.
