What is the name of your state?Florida (accident in Ohio)
My husband was in a car accident about 3 years ago. His car insurance covered all medical bills. 2 years ago he moved back to Florida. About 4 months ago he tried to get a CC and was denied. Checked his credit and their was a CA on there.(note only other thing on the Credit report is the CC he has for his business) He contacted them and was told it was a bill from the accident in Ohio. He then contacted the hospital and insurance company. Hospital said they tried to contact him. Insurance company said they had sent out the check to the hospital but had put the wrong address on it. Well, the insurance company paid the bill but it was still on his credit report. He disputed it online and received a letter explaining that it was paid, not removed. He called Experian to dispute again, they told him to call the CA, the CA told him to call the hospital, stated that only the hospital could get them to remove the collection from the Credit report. The lady at the hospital gave him a hard time and said they wouldn't do anything to help since it wasn't there fault. I have read on here to send letters to the 3 credit bureaus disputing the CA being on there. Is there specifiic wording he needs to use in the letters and is there anyone else he needs to contact?
