What is the name of your state? Arkansas My hot water tank is housed in a closet in a hallway. It sprung a bad leak and water leaked between the subfloor and the hardwood floor. We replaced the heater. When the floor dried out, the hardwood floor is buckled, in some spots it is really uneven. The insurance adjuster came out and said the floor could be sanded and refinished. I told him I was concerned about the subfloor rotting and he said he would send a home restoration representative out to look at it. I told him the water had leaked under the house. He did not look under the house. Should I get someone myself to go under the house and check it out, and if so, whom? I am concerned about the floor where the hot water tank is. I am recently widowed and don't know where to turn. Any help would be appreciated.
