What is the name of your state? TX

My ex-wife's house burned down.. she died in the fire.

The house now is passed to my son. She was only there for 2months and had very little equity in it. maybe 10%

What am I suppose to do with it on my son's behalf

I was told the insurance is going to pay off the mortgage. If that is the case..

Should I let them take the house and call it a wash or do I keep it rebuild it and sell the house myself?

BTW the house was burned down pretty badly.

thanks for the advice.

I'm sorry for your loss.

You also could sell the land.

I hope you applied for social security survivors benefits for your son.
