a year ago my fiance's house burned down with everything he owned in it, it was his uncles house, who later died, and did his uncles wife, so the uncles wife's sister, somehow got the $10,000 for damages, and the $8,000 for cleanup. she paid non of this to my fiance' who cleaned everything up, and lost everything he owned.

My response:

Since your fiance wasn't an owner, or the owner, of the house, he was a "renter". The insurance company paid on the house damage, but your fiance's personal belongings are not covered because he didn't have "renter's insurance" which would have paid for his losses. Therefore, and since your fiance had no separate insurance, he's not entitled to any of the money.
