I signed a contract on a house w/ 10 acres, and let the seller put in that he has gas & oil rights for 10 years. Does this mean that he can have drilling done on my property, even though i do not want it done?

Yes. Unless your contract says otherwise, he can enter any time he wants, drive a DC3 over your mature landscaping, lay waste to the land, and leave a huge mess behind when he's done. Why didn't you call us before you signed the contract?
