I just purchased the home a few months ago. The basement was flood about 5 inches. I called the insurance adjuster. He told me that water from rain is not cover damages. However the damages from a leak is cover. Well the source was a leak from the boiler. I called them and told them that the boiler is the one leaking. They told me that they will come and investigate. Now my basement is under 6 feet of water and adjuster tells me maybe is not cover. I have not taken a decent shower is 2 weeks and we have not had no AC for about 2 weeks. The ac unit is under water also. My work equipment is also under water. My floor tile in my kitchen is comming loose from the moisture. Please help. What are my Options? Does the insurance cover loses?

If you have a HO policy it is covered because it is the result of the failure of a plumbing device. Your insurer is lying to you and/or hoping you will just go away.

You do have an obligation to mitigate further loss and damage. If you wait too long, even though you are right, they may attempt to deny your claim on the basis that you failed to protect the property, and the insurance company, from further damage.
