My husband is trying to get a small home improvement company
started and hasn't been into it very long. He built a hand rail on a pre-existing deck and installed a small chained linked fenced area/pin for a pet. When he was getting close to finishing the homeowner starts adding things that he says were included. They have a hand written agreement and my husband gave it to the homeowner with the trust that he was to make a copy the next morning and return it back to my husband. Which he did not do and now is refusing to give it back. He is refusing to pay the remainder of what was agreed to in the agreement.
The homeowner is also trying to say that my husband took hand trimmer and my husband says he didn't take anything. If a trimmer was really and truely taken from his property then we would be more than happy to replaces it because he owes my husband a whole lot more than what a trimmer is worth. We are unsure how to approach this situation or what steps we need to take.
