How di I request a copy of my Tx citation from 2006?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX for CA

I recetly moved back to California from Texas.

While I was in Texas in 2006 I got a DWI. I completed everthing.

I moved back to Cali this week and applied for my DL.

I got it, but was then suspended. They pulled the national database and saw my DWI and think I was still only licensed in California at the time.

At the time of the Arrest I was licensed in Texas.

I called the DMV and they told me I have to get a copy of my Texas Driving Record, and a Copy of the Citation and send it to them and then wait 4-6 weeks for them to clear me.

I was able to pull my driving record off of the Texas Website, but how can I get a copy of the original Citation?

Maybe call the city I got arrested in, or the county I got arrested in?

Either you misheard them and they said something other than citation, or California just uses different terminology than Texas (more likely.) If you were arrested for DWI in Texas then there will not be a citation. What they probably want is the complaint and/or judgment. You should just get both to be sure. You need to order them from the County Clerk's Office from whatever county your offense was prosecuted in.

coincidentally, I have a carbon copy of a ticket that I got earlier from the same exact police officer actually (ironic i know) for speeding a couple months before the DWI.

The carbon thing I have on it definitely says "Citation" on the back. It's yellow and from Frisco, TX.

Are you saying they don't issue Citations?

Or, are you saying they issue citations for speeding violations, but not a citation for a DWI? (might be the case I just don't understand)

If not a citation, what would the arresting officer fill out? Sounds like that is what they are looking for, they want to see what drivers license they wrote it up for (I think). Would that be the complaint/judgement.

Thanks again.

Nope, he was quite clear. If you were charged with DUI, it wasn't via citation.

Exactly the case. Moving violations are infractions. You're not being charged with a crime. The process is different. DUI is a crime.

The officer or some agent of the state makes a complaint. That's analogous to being given the ticket.
The Judgement is set by the court (the judge) when you're found guilty.
