What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Missouri

My husband's ex-girlfriend has been using harrassment, slander, and libel against me for the past four years as a way to try to get me to leave my husband. It has caused me extreme mental anguish, and I don't know if I can stay married to my husband if this is what I have to look forward to my whole life. I want it all to stop, and getting her put on probation for assault on me didn't work. The police told me that they couldn't do anything because the harrassment and libel were over the internet, but if it continued after her probation ended that I could sue her for it. I am 20 years old, and very inexperienced with lawyers and legal matters. I have no idea where to start, or what to sue for. I have everything either saved on my computer or printed out on paper. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Yes, she's been doing this since I was 16 years old. My husband is now 24 years old. He's been doing everything we can think of to get this to stop. Nothing has worked, so now he tells me to just ignore it. I can't just ignore it. I've tried that before, but it doesn't really work. I just want it all to stop, and suing is my last resort. As for your last question. I wasn't married to him until I was 18 years old, when our oldest son was nearly a year old. I love my husband and our 2 beautiful little boys to death!! I wouldn't change getting married to him for anything in the world. I just want all of the crap I'm getting from his ex-girlfriend to stop so that we can enjoy our life together.

My response:

You'll learn, and understand, this concept when you're about 35 years old, and long after you've divorced your husband because you've failed to understand this concept - - The only reason she's bothering you is because you're allowing it, and can't help yourself. Stop reading her crap.

The age of consent in MO is 17, you were 16 when he got you pregnant and he was 20, that is statutory rape. Nice..........

I was 17 when I got pregnant, 18 when he was born. My son was ALMOST 1 when we got married. Sorry, that's not statutory rape.

According to your previous post, you were 18 when you got married and the child 1 year old, meaning that you were 16 when you got pregnant.

I really was hoping to get some advice about my situation. Instead I am getting replies from 2 year olds. You may be older in age than me, but obviously, I am much older in maturity. Any advice from someone with a mental age greater than my newborn son's would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanx to anyone with real advice to share.

Actually, this is what my previous post said, copied and pasted: "when our oldest son was nearly a year old. " My son was born 2 weeks after my 18th birthday, and I got married 2 days before my 19th birthday. That means that I got pregnant when I was 17. I wasn't even dating my husband until 2 days before my 17th birthday.
