How does any kid afford emancipation?

I’ve been reading these posts for several weeks now, and I’ve been wondering how any regular kid can afford to become emancipated? Unless he/she is a child star bringing in big bucks, or a young entrepreneurial wizard, I can’t see how they can make enough money to support themselves and attend school at the same time. It was tough enough for me when I first got out of college.
