A very good friend has just realised that his ex-wife is still paying into a joint claim they had when they were married. They've been divorced for over a year now, and she has been abusing him both mentally and emotionally since.

The insurance company won't let him remove himself from the policy as long as it's being paid, and has basically stated that the policy is more like contract on his head now, "so run and hide."

She has been paying the monthly premiums, and obviously wishes to continue with it... She is still paying into a life insurance claim on her first husband...

Even though the insurance company won't co-operate with him to take him off the claim, there must be some way for him to disolve this contract.

If anyone knows what avenues he needs to take, to find the assistance in removing himself from this claim, please let me know so I can help advise him. He has been suffering her abuse far too long now, and needs to be free of her and her control.

note: This is in Louisiana.
