What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY
Hi. My husband is british and has been a green card holder for over 20 years in the US. He doesn't want to give up his brit citizenship to get US citizenship ( I am working on this). My question is how will this (or will it) affect his

1) social security income? he has worked in the US for over 20 years, we own a home here etc..
2) we don't have a will ( I KNOW..we SHOULD!) ..if something happens to him, is his money affected by him not being a US citizen?? ie: property owned here, life insurance etc?

thanks

As far as I know, UK does allow dual citizenship so you should really inquire about that to begin with to make certain.

Secondly, if your husband still does not want US citizenship, Social Security income is not only for citizens; as for the will, there may be different provisions for how he might inherit but for that you should speak with an accountant and or a trusts/estates attorney.
