My girlfriend is unemployed currently and is being requested to court for failure to pay a judgement.

Her industry would frown heavily on garnished wages so....
If she let's it ride and does not respond how far will the
Michigan court system go to find her once she is working again?

Is the court that will pursue her or the plaintiff?

She or I have never been sued and it looks to me based on other documents I've read that being the "good guy" and showing up in court doesn't get you anywhere.

Something seems missing in your post.
You say that "She or I have never been sued", yet your question is about your girlfriend has been "requested to court for failure to pay a judgement".
How do you go from never being sued to failure to pay a judgment????

Then, rather than make some claim that they "have the wrong person" and ask what to do, you are curious about garnishment and her letting "it ride".

Obviously, we are missing something here!! Which is it... she has a judgment against her and is now being garnished
OR
the enforcement process is against the wrong person.

Finally, the enforcement of the judgment is up to the judgment creditor and his ability to use the courts.
