I am asking for a friend who just got married to a citizen and wants to apply for citizenship herself. Does anyone know the current timeframes to get her residency and citizenship? She is in Utah. Thanks in advance!

Assuming no issues, green card for spouse of US Citizen takes about a year. Green card holder can apply for citizenship three years after green card.

First, it is the citizen who applies and not the intending immigrant.

There are better forums for immigration discussions.
